KEEPING TRACK: Jared Leto, who took in today’s Dior Homme show in Paris, said he was just back from performing in India, adding that his band 30 Seconds to Mars recently set a Guinness World Record for most shows performed in support of a single album. “We did 311 shows in a couple of years, and it was just crazy,” he said. The actor and singer, who often hangs out with photographer Terry Richardson, explained the pair enjoys “great food and fun times.” “He and I are working on a lifelong project. It’s called ‘The Bromance: Volume One,’” Leto joked.
Other guests who attended the show at the Tennis Club de Paris included Karl Lagerfeld, Audrey Marnay, Samuel Benchetrit, Salim Kechiouche and Taiwanese actor Nicky Wu. Anja Rubik was busy preparing for the re-launch of her magazine, 25 Magazine, likely to take place at the Cannes International Film Festival in May. “Movies and fashion overlap each other. I think the two are very connected,” said Rubik, adding that she has no plans to take to the silver screen herself. “When it comes to the magazine itself, there will be a lot of moving images, but acting is not my thing.” The model also said she’s working on a “top secret” fashion collaboration with an Italian brand.
DJs Andy Butler and Whitney Fierce planned to spin tunes at the after-party at the Social Club – provided Butler keeps track of his personal effects. “I lose everything,” he moaned, pulling out a gold wallet. “I bought this Comme des Garçons wallet because I know that if I leave it in the taxi, I will see it.” Butler blamed his absent-mindedness on a slew of projects: He is producing tracks for British singer Little Boots, in addition to EPs for Hercules and Love Affair, featuring Fierce as guest singer.
Chinese actress Ni Ni has been busy promoting her latest movie, “The Flowers of War,” in which she stars opposite Christian Bale. Meanwhile, Canadian singer and actor Kevin Parent was in town for Monday’s premiere of “Café de Flore,” co-starring Vanessa Paradis. After that, it’s back to Quebec to write some new tracks. “I got a lot in my head,” he said.
