Interview: 30 Seconds To Mars - "New Album Is Very Personal, Very Sexual"

With a loyal and somewhat intimidating following, new album time for 30 Seconds To Mars is no small affair by any stretch of the imagination. As they gear up for the release 2013′s Love, Lust, Faith And Dreams, main man Jared Leto caught up with Music Feeds to give us an idea of what's on the horizon.

After instructing us to start a new punk band on account of our mic technique, Leto got talking about the magic that took place when making this album. The band set the standards high and, judging by the first warning shot Up In The Air, those standards have been surpassed. Don't panic -- we get the feeling Jared's joking about the moment he knew magic had happened.

Known as The Echelon, 30 Seconds To Mars fans see themselves as a family rather than a fan base. The responsibility placed on the band isn't lost on Leto who very much understands how important him and the band are to The Echelon. Jared explained how he manages to deal with the responsibility, and whether or not that responsibility creates pressure or inspiration.

Hang tight for an Australian tour announcement. Though he isn't ready to lock it in yet, Leto is preparing for it to happen soon.

Dammit. Should have asked if the new Music Feeds punk rock band can open for them. Next time, I suppose.
