Jared Leto has worn women's underwear in the past because he was intrigued to see how it fitted.

Jared Leto used to wear women's underwear because he wanted to know how it felt.

The actor-and-singer is the frontman of rock group 30 Seconds to Mars, who famously earned a Guinness World Record in 2011 for the longest-ever tour after playing 309 dates over two years.

Jared enjoys performing for his fans and goes to great lengths to ensure every show is as good as possible.

"I've tried so many different things! I've even worn women's underwear because I wanted to know what that feels like. Mostly it was just for one show and for having fun. On stage you do things you normally would never do," he laughed to the German edition of Cosmopolitan.

Jared has concentrated mostly on music over the last few years and only takes movie roles which really move him. The 41-year-old star always follows his heart when it comes to his career decisions.

"I would never do something immoral, that's very important to me. Other than that, I try to do whatever feels right for me. I rely on my feelings," he said.

The star also taps into his emotions when he is penning lyrics. Love is something he often thinks about and a theme he's proud to have running through his songs.

"Women do inspire me, totally! It's not cheesy to follow your heart," he insisted. "But my luck regarding love has kept within bounds."

Jared has tattoos and has opened up about where one of them originated. While many people insist their inkings are highly personal and designed over a period of months, it wasn't the case for the piece he has on his chest.

"Oh, just that I was very drunk one night in Mexico! I woke up the next morning and there was this graphic character..." he laughed. © Cover Media
